A magical place to invest

Whilst Spain continues to attract thousands of property buyers each year, much of this investment is concentrated in the established and increasingly densely populated costas – Blanca, del Sol etc. One areas which has largely avoided the ravages of intensive development is the Costa del Azahar, in the region of Valenciana – a relatively unexplored region of Spain sandwiched between the Costa Dorada to the North and Costa Blanca to the south.

The main focus of quality development are the twin resorts of Alcossebre/Las Fuentes, with their air of exclusivity, which are protected by law from high-rise and high density exploitation and are situated at the foot of the Sierras with magnificent vistas in every direction. There are a dozen bays and many outcrops of gently sloping golden sandy beaches that offer safe bathing for all ages. Alcossebre/Las Fuentes is one of the most unspoilt, attractive areas in Spain in which to relax and enjoy life to the full.

Inland is another magical world. Immediately west of our villages, there is a high sierra they call the Maestrazgo. Go up into the mountains clothed with ancient olive trees. It’s where the Hoophoes flash through the trees and the birds of prey hover on the thermals. To north into the natural park region around the lakes of La Senia. So many places to explore and to discover within an hour’s drive of Alcossebre.

Boating enthusiasts have their requirements met by a splendid marina. Berths can be purchased or leased. There are a range of quality bars and restaurants along the Marina where you can sit, enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. And boats are one reason why the area offers the potential for genuine financial gains, as properties are set to benefit from the staging of the world’s premier sailing event – The Americas Cup in Valencia during 2007. That and the scheduled opening of a new airport in the region in the same year.
